Tamil Nadu Govt Signs MoU with Raasi Green Earth Energy


Raasi Green Earth Energy to set up Rs.920 Cr Solar Park in Tamil Nadu – signed a MOU with the Tamil Nadu Government.
The company exchanged the MOU with the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) in the presence of Hon. Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa at Chennai on Thursday, 13th Dec, 2012.
The proposed project envisages 100 MW of solar power generation spread over 500 acres in Ramanathapuram district, Tamil Nadu.
“I assure you of the total coopearion of the state government. I am happy to know that you plan to extend the capacity to 1,000 MW, and I hope that this will prove to be a launching platform for many more such solar power projects to be established in Tamil Nadu,” Jayalalithaa said in a statement.
C.Narasimhan, CMD – Raasi Group said “The Raasi solar park, first such project to be set up under the aegis of state’s new solar policy, being conceived in PPP (Public Private Partnership) mode, will comprise all necessary infrastructure, evacuation facilities, Licenses & Approvals, EPC, O&M and financial advisory to attract investors and solar power producers to set up the projects in the park.”
